Data providers are websites that portfolio uses to extract quotes news and mesages. You should update your provider list often because Provider lists go out of date and portfolio may not be able to harvest data. Also the provider list is frequently updated with new data providers as they are discovered.

Click on the following link to download the latest provider list. It will ask if you would like to add information to the registry. Click Yes. The updated list will be installed, Restart portfolio to take advantage of it.
